For Brand Managers ·
What you'll accomplish
Right now, checking a piece of copy against the brand voice guide means pulling up the PDF, scanning it side by side with the draft, and hoping you catch every tone slip. After this setup, you paste the draft into a Claude Project that already knows your brand guide, and Claude flags off-voice language in under a minute. The review still needs your judgment, but the first pass happens instantly instead of manually.
What you'll need
Go to claude.ai and log in. Look for Projects in the sidebar. This is separate from a regular chat conversation, it's a persistent workspace that remembers what you upload to it.
What you should see: A modal asking what you're working on and what you're trying to achieve. Troubleshooting: If you don't see a Projects option, confirm your account is on a paid plan. Projects with file uploads generally require Pro or higher.
Give the project a name your team will recognize immediately, something like "Brand Voice Review" or your brand name plus "Copy QA."
What you should see: The project workspace opens with a Files or Knowledge panel and a chat window.
Before uploading anything, set the project's custom instructions. This step matters more than people expect. A few clear sentences here shape every review that follows.
What you should see: Your instructions saved and visible whenever you reopen the project.
What you should see: A list of uploaded files in the project's knowledge panel. Every new chat started inside this project can now reference them automatically. Troubleshooting: If Claude's answers don't seem to reflect the guide, open a fresh chat inside the project rather than continuing an old one. Older chats sometimes carry context from before a file finished uploading.
What you should see: A list of specific flags, each naming the phrase or sentence, why it reads off-brand, and a rewrite option. Not a vague "this could be more on-brand" comment.
