What you'll accomplish
Every creative brief starts from a blank page today, and a vague first draft is what triggers the two or three extra rounds of agency revisions that turn a three-hour writing task into a multi-day cycle. Once this custom GPT is built, it already knows your brand's positioning, voice, and past approved briefs, so a new brief request starts from something close to final instead of from zero.
What you'll need
What you should see: A builder screen with two tabs, one for building by chatting and one for configuring fields directly. Troubleshooting: If you don't see the option to create a GPT, check that your plan includes it. The builder is not available on a free account, and it isn't available in the mobile app either, so switch to a desktop browser if needed.
Draft the GPT's instructions in a separate document first. Pasting half-formed instructions straight into the builder tends to produce a weaker result than writing them out fully beforehand.
What you should see: The name, description, and instructions fields all filled in, with a live preview chat on the side where you can test as you go.
What you should see: Your uploaded files listed under Knowledge.
What you should see: A brief that follows your standard structure and sounds like your brand, not a generic template.
What you should see: The GPT now appears in your sidebar or GPTs list, ready to open for any new brief.
